Stephen Poloz appointed new Governor of Bank of Canada

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - the central bank of Canada has appointed Stephen Poloz as new Governor. Mr. Poloz, which until now held the position of Chief Executive in the ed the country's exports Department, replaces Mr. Carney, as this passed to take on new responsibilities as the new Governor of the Bank of England.

"Mr. Poloz has significant knowledge of financial markets and the issues of monetary policy, as well as management experience. We are confident that Mr. Poloz will make a significant contribution to the work of the Bank and maintain its reputation as central bank".
