Eurozone: Unemployment rate worsens to 12.1% in March

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - the rate of unemployment in the eurozone has raised in March by 12.1%, from 12.0% in February, matching the expectations of the market.

The unemployment rate of the EU, on the other hand, remains unchanged at 10.9%.


In total, Eurostat estimated that 19.211.000 people are unemployed in the euro zone, 62,000 more than the previous month.


Of the Member States, which have lower unemployment rate are Austria (4.7%), Germany (5.4%) and Luxembourg (5.7%). Those who have a higher rate, on the other hand, are Greece (27.2%), Spain (26.7%) and Portugal (17.5%).
